Region & Population Served

The Arc of Butte County serves over 1,000 individuals in Butte, Glenn and Tehama Counties in northern California.  We are a chapter of Arc California and also Arc USA.  The Arc of Butte County is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit corporation registered with the state of California and were granted the non-profit status by the United States Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service in 1967.

Arc programs serve people with Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism and other developmental disabilities and their families. All children and adults that attend one of our programs is authorized through Far Northern Regional Center, one of 12 such centers designated in California, with oversight from the State Council on Developmental Disabilities.
