Arc clients shine with creative artworks!

Arc Day Program clients prove once again that they are multi-talented artists.  Alan Carrier has a way of bringing out the artist in Arc clients.  Whatever medium the clients choose to work with, Carrier guides and encourages them in their efforts to achieve their goals.  Each year Carrier collects more than 20+ paintings, drawings, and sculptures, enters them in the Silver Dollar Fair and the Butte County Fair.  Invariably, Arc clients works are recognized for their originality and bring home award winning ribbons.

Client artworks are entered into the appropriate categories with the general public and judged and awarded ribbons on the artistic merit of the piece.  Each client is so proud of what they have created and are elated when their works come back to art class with awards.  Arc staff and Carrier are also very proud of their achievements.  Several of the clients have a “style” they always follow when painting or drawing, regardless of the subject matter, such as pointalism, abstract and multi-media.

The pieces of art are for sale at Arc Stores in Chico, Paradise and Oroville.  In addition, more than 40 pieces are featured each March in the Arc Annual Wine and Beer Tasting Benefit.  Proceeds from all artwork by clients goes directly to the artist, which is a special bonus and a great result of their efforts. It’s very important to show that the time, effort and creativity they put into their artwork actually has value to those who collect art.

Alan Carrier has been instructing art classes at The Arc and at Butte College for 17 years.  His commitment and compassion to the Arc clients and The Arc is much appreciated.
